I haven’t taken pictures, with my camera, in over year.

If you didn’t already know, I love photography. I even went to school for it! I have taken family, maternity, senior and wedding photos since high school. Some years I do more than others.

Last year was so busy. We were focused on building and moving into our new home. Getting things in order. Dealing with new schedules and routines. Picking up the camera was the last thing on my mind.

Then last month a close friend asked if I would take pictures for her brother’s wedding. She said it was a small, easy, laid back event and no pressure.

Let me tell you….wedding photography is stressful. It is a one time chance. You can’t do a “make up” session if something happens. Sure they could get dressed up again for some portraits, but it isn’t the same.

I said yes, because I have been wanting to pick up the camera again. And what better way to get back into it than getting to also hang out with a friend!?!

This was, for sure, the most laid back wedding ever. The bride and groom were just exited to he getting married. They weren’t in a hurry or worried about anything. It was go with the flow and everyone was having a great time.
