Our little dude just turned 5!

The last five years have flown by. Its seems like yesterday, we were bringing him home. My 12 weeks of maternity leave went by too fast and I was back at work. Then two days after his first birthday the world went into lockdown.

Getting the opportunity to be home with him every day was a gift. Of course I wish it wasn’t because of the pandemic. But I will forever be grateful for the time at home with him.

I hope he knows how much joy he’s brought to our lives. He has taught me to slow down. To take in each moment. To appreciate the little things. My priorities have changed. My view of the world is new.

We have less sleep. Our nights are early and so are our mornings. Our days are spent watching muppets babies. The giant bathtub I wanted is filled with baby shark toys. My blanket is always missing and my books are always coming off the shelves.

I wouldn’t change a thing.
