Muppet Babies Party

If you checked out Conrad’s birthday pictures on my Conrad Turns ONE post, you know we did a Muppet Babies theme.

He LOVES the Muppets. I catch myself singing the songs in the shower. So, of course that was the theme of his birthday party.

Muppet Babies originally debuted in the 80’s, so I remember watching the cartoons as a kid. Disney revamped the series in 2018 for their channel, Disney Junior. I must say, I love it. When I heard the theme come on the tv the first time I was instantly taken back to my childhood. I am typically not a fan of reboots, but this one is great!

For decorations I wanted to make sure everything was colorful and bright. Below are links for the decorations.

I love finding ways to incorporate the characters into the party. Here is how I added in each one.

Animal – When you think about Animal you know he loves to have fun and party.

Conrad’s birthday shirt was purchased from Etsy and has Animal’s face. The cake was also Animal. The table designated for gifts had a sign that said “Party Animal’s Presents”

Summer – The newest Muppet, loves to paint and color. There was a table set up for the kids with coloring books and crayons with a sign that said “Summer’s Art Supplies”.

Fozzie – He is known for his love of telling jokes so we had an area assigned as “Fozzie’s Funny Joke’s Props”. There were funny glasses, signs for pictures, and small toys for the kids.

Miss Piggy – We had “Miss Piggys in a Blanket” for the kids to eat. Also, if you are having a Muppets party for a little girl, a fun idea would be to incorporate her love of bows and get bows for all the girls.

Gonzo – He is always doing stunts and shooting himself and other’s out of a cannon. So, on the snack table we had “Gonzo’s Cannon Balls” for the kids to snack on.

Kermit – I am not going to lie, I dropped the ball with Kermit. I wanted to get tiny banjos for the kids, but never got around to it. So, I just had a sign by the cupcakes that said “Kermit’s Cupcakes”. After the fact I thought up ideas like, “Kermit’s Swamp Water” next to green punch. Maybe next time.

I know he won’t actually remember the party, but at least everyone was able to join us to celebrate and we have lots of pictures to look back on!
